    Looks more like a true Black Crappie than KY's State Record fish (4lb 14oz) ...



    ... which turned out to also be a "hybrid" b/w mix, determined by biologists sampling the DNA.

    I'm pretty sure that many of us have caught a naturally occurring Hybrid Crappie, and just didn't know it.

    Wow, what a fish. I bet after he filleted it, battered it, and fried it he could not tell whether it was a black or hybrid when he ate it. (Smile)
