    Default Arrowhead

Put in at Arrowhead Wednesday hoping to find them in the bay and play with my new Spyderlocks. There was a little baitfish but except for the Crappie I caught while unrolling didn't do any good. Headed to the tops towards the mouth and found them in 9-14 fow fishing 4-6 ft down. Caught 30 kept 20. Lost 10 of the bigger fish. The dang hooks on the lighter jigs are to small to punch through.

I talked myself out of going out there after work yesterday. Did chores around the house instead. Sounds like I messed up.

Great report, thanks! Those fish are always a trick to find between the mouth and the flats. But once you find 'em you can load up.

Well done man!! I'm till debating on where to fish tomorrow. What was the water temp?? Were you jigging or casting and retrieving around the tree tops?

Biggest I boated was no more than 11" but the ones I rolled we're some bigger. I was fishing a 1/32 with a quill more of a cane pole method. I was fishing minnows and partner was fishing lite jigs and he is 30 yrs. My senior. Stayed pretty much even all day. Lauched at first light 58 in the bay and low 60's in the creek Wind was brutal on the big river. I was glad I chose to launch in the bay

Congrats! I use #4s mostly don't have to many get off and I will flipp them in the boat. #6s will have a few get off . I pour my jigs so I can put 4s on my small jigs as well.
