Went to the lake Tuesday for first time in about 6 weeks. My last trip out, I bought fresh gas. On the way in that day motor was sputtering.. Assumed I had got some bad gas. When I went to squeeze the primer bulb on Tuesday, it was already firm. I thought that is strange, but went on and backed down. Motor turned over like it was not getting fire. Well, I figured trip to the shop for this. Went on and fished in the area of the ramp, and caught fish! When loading up, a nice man from Alabama took a look, and said he thought my fuel connecter at the motor was bad because he could get no fuel to come out.
Bought a new connecter and when removing old one still no fuel would come out. Looked in fuel line & it was clogged. This was ethanol resistant line from Mercury (black print on it). Bought new fuel line from Mercury dealer & this has blue print on it. Suppose to be new & improve.
Could not push a screw driver through the old clogged line. Best pic I could get.

Hope you found the problem and back on the water.
Ethanol gas has screwed up a lot of equipment for me.
