Mainly use gliss or nanofil. Zero memory casts a mile and super sensitive and pretty strong in 4lb nanofil and gliss 6lb use mono for backing on the reel.

Maybe I need to start trying some of the new hi tech line. I am 45 and have never used anything other than mono or braid. I will check it out.

Are you backing the reel with mono to save money or are you doing it to keep the line from slipping on the spool?

    Thanks

It's def not as low cost as mono but it's for both reasons. But for casting and jigging it's all I use now. U can feel every little thing on it.
