Thread: Ky lake, Jonathon crk, best ramp

For johnathon creek that would be sportsman’s. It’s a fee ramp but has a great cleaning station and marina. I watched two ranger boat launch and load today.

True but the ramps and cleaning station make the $5 fee a true bargain. Only bad thing is the ramp is not always open in late season.

I am sure Sportsman's is the best ramp but there is nothing wrong with the public ramp on the west side at winter pool other than having to back in a ways. I never fish there anymore but we used to put 21' Rangers in all the time there at winter pool, definitely easier with two people though. But if the wind gets up out of the south and you are by yourself I would go somewhere else.

I stated it was a “fee ramp”, not a free ramp. It’s a cost of 5 bucks. It’s a cheap price for the quality of ramp and facilities. I don’t get around as I once did and having a safe dock to secure boat and get in and out of is nice. Especially on a hard southwest or west wind. The free public ramp across from sportsman on those type wind days can be very adventurous in boat loading by yourself.

Where is the cheapest place to get minnows around these ramps if anybody can help?

Fast Eddies is 3 miles nw of Jonathan on Hwy 68 across from the Dollar Store at Fairdealing.
