Already have a motorguide brute on it and it works fine,,, I just want something that has spotlock features and has remote,,, The Terrova is a fine trolling motor IF you own the newer models I'm told,, The spotlock doesn't quite work as well on older models,,, So my question with refurbished is,,, Do they have newer spotlock installed or older crapp,l

You're right. There is an ipilot accessory kit for $450. Would that give it the factory ipilot capability?

If you are set on the specs you have given you will have to pony up. New what you want is around 1699$. I have no clue what BBG Marine can sell you one for. I don’t think you are going to find any used gen 2 iPilots on the market yet. As for refurbished I am not sure who is selling them.....or even if there are any. I have the 1st gen iPilot. I have been in boats and spot-locked next to boats with the new improved spot-lock.......I would suggest you not settle for the 1st gen spot-lock. The new spot lock is fantastic......the older ones not so much.

Yes....but the 1st gen iPilot.....not worth it. I had the chance back in winter to upgrade my 1st gen Ulterra to the new improved spot-lock and I told the lady at Minn Kota “Let me think about it”. It was only 500 bucks for the new head....remote...and puck. When I called back to Minn Kota marketing had stopped that deal. Still sick I didn’t get it when I had the chance.

Everybody is spot on, to get the newest version of spot lock, you have to buy a 2017 trollling motor that has it. Just buying spot lock and doing the install is not the new spot lock. Make sure your getting a 2017 motor.
