Papasage I just wanted to mention to you, I fought a Motorguide for about 15 years with a foot pedal and then a Minn Kota Powerdrive with a foot pedal, which was a little better since it locked in the direction you pointed it instead of wanting to spin like the Motorguide. But the best thing I ever bought for my boat was an iPilot. It makes fishing so much easier. Use the remote control from anywhere in the boat, it is great. I can help my wife and still steer from the back. If I would have only known how much less stressful my trolling would be, I would have saved my pennies and bought one years ago. Good luck fishing.

i have a hand control that i won at a Talquin get to gather a few years ago . it had a round plug for the newer min kota . i rewired a flat plug to the cord and it worked so i can go to the back of the boat and run the troling motor just have to have the corded control i can use it on the pontoon . it has a power drive 24 volt on it with a auto pilot but the auto pilot went out and i put a new one in it now it has quit
