GPS Recommendations
Looking to purchase a handheld GPS system to mark beds, treetops, etc...What are you all using? Don't have a Doctrine in physics ..so needs to be user friendly and easy..if there is such a thing. So what do you recommend? Thanks all!

Well I have and use regularly, the Garmin eTrex Legend CX. Got this unit about 12 years ago and have used it to mark waypoints and "trails" to & from for smallmouth fishing on a large mainlake reservoir. Works well, not complicated and reliable. I probably have 30 - 40 wayponts on this one body of water. Priceless.

Lowrance ifinder. Super easy and very accurate. If you get lucky you might even find a lake maps chip for it.

I use Scout GPS on me iphone. What a stinking program. My phone don't work too good at the lake either.
Toyota uses Scout GPS also. It still stinks.

Delorme PN 60 and you can download USGS topo maps for handheld that accurately show the bottom of lakes including Creek channels. Used it for years but fish finders have finally replaced it.

I have a Lowrance handheld GPS that's over 10 years old and still works good,its the ifinder h2o.

I use a Garmin 62s mainly for ice fishing. The 64s replaced it but both have 3 axis mag compass with pretty good accuracy and will take micro SD cards. I use the lake view chip in mine. My boats uses Lowrance global map and point one antenna.
