    Default Side imaging/ sonar question

Please excuse my ignorance. I think i got info overload.

I got my unit at transom. So with that being said my readings are what is shown as i pass by an object at the back of my boat. Correct?

In alot of videos people say we are coming up on this like they know what they are seeing before the boat gets to it.

You are correct, what you see is what you have just passed. The only way to see ahead is with the 360 degree view, which I cannot afford.

Yep. When the fish/structure enters the right side of the screen, you're on top of it. Drop marker, turn around and fish it. Then pick up your marker and move on.
