Anybody doing any good pulling jigs yet? Bout time for them to move up in the coves a little if it will ever cool off. Wondered if anyone has had much luck yet.
That's good stuff, GoodStuff

Thank a Veteran every chance you get.
That is what I like to hear. I tried yesterday afternoon, but too windy on Tillery. I pulled cranks instead for about an hour and half. Only caught 2, but one was a monster and my daughter got to catch it. Pushed 2 lbs.
Soon, I hope!
If I can get out of work at a decent time, may try it tonight. Wind not quite as bad. Marked tons of bait in 10 to 18 fow in the two coves we went in.
After Plan A didn't work yesterday I drug some around. Plan A was throwing jigs around bait schools, bass wouldn't leave it alone to get to Crappie. Once started trolling caught a few small ones, seemed to be pecking it more than hitting.

I've caught nice crappie all summer long longlining but I think now the way these fish feeding on shad tight lining is the way to go for me. I just watch my garmin for shad and the fish will be around or under them. At what ever depth they are at I just set my minnow or jug or both to that depth and hang on, they will be there. Just my 2 cents. Trained by Freddie Sinclair!

Fishing from pontoon and I mounted two of Gene's spyderloks on the back. I do a little striper and catfishing as well so most out of the back. I just received a couple of pedistals to try to mount the spyderloks on the front to do a little tight lining. About all I can do now is ling line or pull cranks for crappie. going to high rock to try fishing a few docks Saturday am since they have been killing them there. That may be fun in a pontoon as well. lol.

Any tips for pulling jigs? (Size of jig head, how far to throw out, etc)
