    Default test run yesterday afternoon...9-21-17

Had to replace my steering on my boat, it was wore out! only 12 years old, got it back together yesterday about lunch time, had to take the whole left side of boat apart! man that was a job, had to take the motor loose to get the cable out , so I had to go test it out. drives like a new one now. after testing it, went and picked up fishing buddy at the ramp and fished about 2 1/2 hours just to see what the crappie were doing, they were hungry , the first one I caught was about 17 inches, tried to pick him up with out a net and he dropped back in the water, fished only the good holes because we didn't have a lot of time, put 51 crappie in the boat. had some good eaters, 10 to 13 inches, but we put them back, didn't have time to clean them.  A good short trip, no pictures, didn't have time for that.

When mine wore out I converted it to the baystar hydraulic system. It was money well spent. You get no feedback from torque and its as smooth as silk.

Good job on the fishing. That's gettin it done!

You're not by chance going to test it again in the morning are you? I just happen to know where the dock is.

Never fished that lake, but have heard great things about it.
When I get me a boat I plan on trying it some time.

Sounds like another great day! I've been thinking about that hydraulic steering for a long time. I don't "need" it yet, but someday...
