Hit the water(Big Allison) about 7 this morning fishing for crappies over brush. Tried several piles but only caught crappies off 2 piles. 8 crappies total. Moved out to some points & tried for perch. Nothing happening. Finally, we move out on the main channel across for the nuclear station. Here we caught 8 perch & 4 bass on minnows & spoons.

Since nothing was tearing up our minnow, we cut up the perch for catfish bait. On the first drift, we caught 1 flathead. Had a couple more hits in about 35' but nothing hooked up. The flathead was 22 lbs.

It was getting hot by 12 so we headed home.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Brett, at least you got out there and tried them out. Any size to the 4 you did find?
