You can rebuild them but the problem is you have no way to calibrate them. If you can't calibrate them your flow rates are going to be all messed. Be like setting all your plugs all at a different gap. And in this case you stand a good chance of burning a piston. You might call KDavid. Think at one time he was going to try rebuilding some on that truck he bought. If it's missing you could also have a wiring harness problem on that engine. The harness that is in the valve cover that goes to the injector is soaked in hot oil and susceptible to breaking.

Call Pounder's Repair in Hernando tomorrow and ask for Paul. You can google the number, real good guy and may can help you over the phone letting you know your best options. Honest mechanics are hard to find now days and this guy I recommend, he operates a small shop so speedy repair isn't his strong point, but fast and free advice is always good!

Ordered new gaskets, harness is built into them.. whatever I do it's gonna be all 8... what I've been told is you have to replace the 2 springs, balls and all the O-rings to get em right.. the armature plate is only place that has a specific clearance tolerance

Not Power Stroke injectors. There is a place in North Memphis that does them, trade yours in as cores

Cray is spot on about the wiring harness on the 7.3. I had one go bad years ago. I believe I would try and trade the old injectors in toward new or rebuilt ones. I feel your pain. My duramax let me down the other day, injector pump went caplooeey. While I was replacing that I went ahead and had the DEF deleted and should have it out of the shop tomorrow. Cost me a pile of minner money.
