Default Flycaster - my nana tree got babies but no nanas...

My banana tree survived Irma. It's interesting how the leaves just get tore but remain relatively useful to the tree.

And now there's a baby banana tree starting up to it's side. There's actually another on the backside. Should I be digging them up and moving them. And I wonder why I did not get naners yet. I like these trees and I like bananas, so I can't wait. lol

It looks nice and healthy. Just keep on fertilizing it.
Don't worry about the leaves. Wait until they turn brown and fall down along the main stalk. Then it is time to trim them off. I see that you already have some dead leaves. You do not have to trim them off, only if they do not look good to you.
Maybe this time next year there could be fruit.
I had to harvest all but three bunches before Irma blew into town.
Have you checked with your friend down under to see how the banana plant the was planted while you were there is doing???

Pictures from 1995 showing our harvest of KIWI grown in Holly Springs, North Carolina. The total weight of the fruit was in excess of 200 pounds. This was from ONE female plant (Vine). We waited until just before frost before harvesting.
Most of the fruit was dispersed at the health spa we were going to three times a week. Delivering about 20 pounds per visit.
    Just the facts!
