Nice fish. I think you said in the past that you troll for them. How fast do you go, and how do set up the rig. If ya don't mind me asking.

LH, if you like, you could answer with a new thread on "How I Troll for Gills" (or something like that.) I could make it into a sticky thread for future inquirers.

Or maybe you could do an article for the front page?

    Thnx guys
Sj - no worries, We're trolling between .6 and .8 mph right now. 2lb. test - two 7' UL rods (we have to pay for the 2nd), one with a bellyspinner jig and the other regular jig. Both tipped with a cricket. Sometimes, I stop when I'm taking pictures and nobody is around, I'll backtrack and cast back to schooling fish. The reason we don't sit on fish is because it pin points areas that some people will exploit. The fish are there - you cast and count down. Generally they are the same class fish. If you want a trophy you have to keep moving on.
dbd - sounds interesting - see what I can come up with....

Your everyday panfish photos are everyone else's fish of a life time shots! I saw the RE in the title and though the thread was an addition to the one about the foot long coppernose, it didn't dawn on me that RE was Red Ear.

What is your ratio of fish that are smaller to the ones you take pics of ?
