Default Cotaco Creek, 4 Sep 17

Haven't been out for months. So, I couldn't pass on the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day!
Started around 0630. Water temp was initially 76 then increased to 79. Water was stained and no current.

Caught around 15 single pole fishing laydowns. Most measured 9-10 inches. A few would measure 11 inches. And, a few shorts. Best bait was Devil's Grin on a 1/24oz plain lead head jig. Slow was the key today. A lighter jig may have been warranted.

All in all, a great day to be on the water.

    Happy Labor Day to all!

You did better than I did. I fished the same area Saturday morning in my kayak and only caught one about 9.5".

    Congrats!

Can't wait till mid-late October gets here and the water cools much more...for fishing to really begin!
