    Default Foam "flip flop" poppers


    You guys that have made these could you post up some pics so I can get some ideas. Found some flip flops for 50¢ so got some in yellow,bright green,pink,and black. Googling gets me some pics but it gets me a lot of stuff I don't want to sort thru. Gonna be used for bluegill and crappie.thanks.

    I'm not sure why, but I can't post a direct link. However, if you go to FAOL:

    Fly Anglers OnLine, Your Complete Internet Flyfishing Resource.

    ... and type "jelly bean" in the search box at the top, you will find Jim Hatch's instructions and pics on how he does his. It was the "Fly of the Week" (FOTW) for June 26, 2006.

    I went to this link Fly Anglers OnLine, Your Complete Internet Flyfishing Resource. and typed in Jelly Bean Fly. The instructions are neat DB4D and the fly is awesome. Thanks

    I have preached for years that all new tiers should used the resource at FAOL and have it linked in the stickey post. Its a great resource for learning how to do all kind by f things if you get the word fly out of your head and just look at how they use materials and what they call these different feathers and such! I learned so much from them and never had the videos which some are good and some are not so good. My point is how does a new guy know the difference? Go to FAOL!
