Default Lake of Ozark with ripnlips

Went on a fishing excursion with Richard today. Still learning how to dock shoot. Richards is really good, and I think I’m getting better, I just need to figure out the bite. I was having a hard time determining if there was a fish on. They were sucking it in on the way down, so if the line went slack, set the hook. Richard had to tell me that quite a few times. We used blue ice jigs with chartreuse nibbles. If the nibble wasn’t on the hook they didn’t want anything to do with it. There was more excitement for me when Richard looked back and realized the boat was filling with water. Checked the plug - it was gone. I haven’t figured out how that happened. I know I put it in and cranked it down. We had traveled to the docks, and were already catching fish, Richard looks back and says what is that water in the boat. I got a little excited, but level-headed Richard, starts the bilge pump and cranks us up, travels around and then gets over to the bank. Jumps out and sticks a plug in it. Good to know he has extra plugs in the boat. (I think he just wanted to noodle fish by hand for more crappie.) We determined the plug came out because I’m wrong handed ? But we continued on, overall it was a day we(I) will remember. We must have caught a 100 fish to get these 30 eaters. Always fun, looking forward to the next trip, and I will now have Richard checking the plug……
