If you troll much you may want to test to see if your rods float. While trolling a flat this year I saw a brush-pile on my helix. One of my weighted down rods hung into it and wound up in the lake before I could get to it. I turned around and stayed just to the downwind side of my tracking line in hopes of snagging it on my way back thru. What a SHOCK, I found it floating. Wound up loosing my weight and crank bait but saved my B & M and spinning reel. It was my best catch of the day.

I hate the way those floats look and they do get in the way sometimes but they have saved me two Okuma/rod combos this year.

Doug you remember showing me the reels you'd bought from Wlure? I've got them on all my rods, lite as a feather and have awesome drags. They're my two pole, spider rig, trolling reels. Best money I've ever spent that my wife doesn't know about. KY Lake 8/24/17

Yep. crp4570 and I bought over 20 of them between us for $12 a piece. I use mine strictly for longlining but for that price, we couldn't pass them up. Haven't seen them that low since.
