    Default Da ducer apparatus

Well, went to see rnvinc (Rickie) to get the da ducer apparatus. He installed it for me and helped me out with a bunch of other stuff too. Got a bunch of cables and wires cleaned up and positioned neater and better for functionality, and he taught me some things about my helix that I didn't even know existed. Great guy and very knowledgeable on electronics. Highly recommend if anyone is interested in any of his gadgets or advice.

I'll explain the reasons I was interested in the apparatus, in case it helps someone else understand if it could help them. I have a minn kota power drive v2 trolling motor with ipilot. The transducer cable is a pain to run on it. Had to be real careful not to pinch or bind cable when stowing or deploying tm, or wrap cable around tm when turning the head with ipilot remote. Also, I want to add humminbird bow mount 360 next spring, and needed way to mount it. This fixed both problems.

The transducer I had on my tm was the XTM 9 wide DI 20 T, and I wanted to keep it, because it has a bigger coverage cone as opposed to the transom mount transducer. Only problem, there wasn't a bracket to mount this type ducer to the apparatus. So... , Rickie made a custom bracket to make it work. So in the future, if anyone wants to mount a transducer like this, the prototype has already been made Here's some pics of setup. Apparatus fits neatly under minn kota.
