Thread: Chick crappie 8/16

Sorry no pics this time. I threw back the first few thinking there would be better ones. Lol I cursed myself thinking that. Mostly looked around for brush and structure today with not much luck. But I did catch a few though on community holes but the three I landed came from 15 fow on brush way off of the main channel. I got bit in 30 fow all the way up to 12 fow out in the main channel, but they were bitting very light and I missed most all fish. I also had what looked like a 12 incher break me off as I was flipping him in the boat. It was that kind of day for me. BG baby shad with 1/32 weedless heads was what I was using. It was a very nice day out there with not much traffic. I also seen a ton of shad and fry in huge balls mostly right on the surface . I did notice some guys catching a few on minnows with bobbers. It was a fun day out there either way and good luck to all that venture out.
