    Default Spring Trip

I am planning a spring trip to one of the "Big Three" in March. I was raised on the coast spent most of my adult life fishing the Ross Barnett resovoir but never went north. I am now living in Arkansas, in Creekslick territory and wanna go back south a lil while.

My wife is back going to school starting this week, and we thought as a get away for us during her spring break this would be fun.

    Question:

What recommendations do you all have to rent a cabin and do some fishing? Had a cabin reserved at Hugh White this past July but canceled out due to all the rain. So have a "voucher" now I have to use within a year.

    1) Hugh White @ Grenada
    2) George Cossar @ Enid
    3) John Kyle @ Sardis

    Thanks in advance....

Get you a cabin at Cossar. That way you'll be between the other 2 lakes{Sardis and Grenada) and also fish Enid. Only a short drive 30-40 minutes North or South. This is what we tell visitors coming this way to fish. GOOD LUCK!

Oh, one more thing, CRAPPIE HUNTER......book your cabin as soon as you know your dates. Sippi is prolly the hottest spot in the Southeast for crappie fishermen during that month. Cabins fill up very fast. And, the weather..........well, come prepared for cool, damp or rainy weather or sunshine!

If her spring break is early March you may want to go to Washington instead.

Wish you had included the dates so I didn't have to look it up.
March 19 thru 23/ 2018 is what I find on a Jonesboro school calendar.
Like Armyman said, come prepared for cool, damp or rainy weather or sunshine.
Desoto county, MS spring break is March 12 thru 16/ 2018, wish it was later.

Times 10 !! Solid advise right here, and have done several times. The Cossar cabins are some of the best cabins of any of the state parks. Book early tho!
