Default I have a question - summer high water crappies

This is my first year trying summer crappie fishing. I have had some luck working the weeds early on . But with all the rain lately, water levels are way up, even over the banks in a lot of the areas. Yesterday I was not able to locate them. What is the best place to look for the crappies now ?? The water temps are 85 to 88 deg. with day time temps running in the mid 90's.

another good day at the office !

Maybe try the open water....lakes.... Little early for the big catches but you should still get some nice ones....I prefer to tightline over trolling but I'm sure others would disagree.... Good luck

Go deep young man, look for a pot hole in deep water or shade somewhere. Fish under docks as well.

Go to the deep holes and fish different depths until you find what depth they are holding in they will be above the thermocline also night fishing in the deep holes with lights is the best way to catch them in the summer

    What he said.
BUT, I spoke to a guy, yesterday, that caught 25 on Thursday, dippin' a double minnow rig under the bridge in Lake Jesup.

Maybe the bridge bumpers at lake Monroe might be holding also.... All around the rr bridge etc. Just a thought.

Edges of river channel working good for us right now. If you have electronics, find the thermocline put your bait right there.

been running our bait 13-14 foot deep and doing very well.
