I recently did a couple of hours filming with the crew from Field and Stream. They called me and wanted to do a video on catching catfish on cranks. I told them like I would tell anybody, we might catch them and we might not but I'll put out maximum effort to make it happen. WELLLLLLLLL, we put the Southern Crappie Rods to the test on the 1st catfish that was reeled in 80 feet--BACKWARDS on a SCR143T. It was tail wrapped and we laughed all the time Will was reeling it in.

We fished for 2 hours and had 6-7 catfish, 4 keeper largemouths and 4 keeper crappie, both whites and blacks (black crappie won't hit cranks).

Hope you like the video. It had over 1000 hits in the 1st 13 minutes. They even got in plugs for some sponsors here on Crappie.com with shot of my side console.
