    Default Henderson 8-5-17

Wife went out of town so I got a chance to hit the water with my dad. Thought about going to pidgeon this morning but didnt hear good reports yesterday. So henderson it was. We tried by the pontoon bridge and didnt have any luck. So we t to phillips canal. Picked up 3 med. Sac a lait. And that was all. Started throwing worms about 3ft under a cork around cypress trees in 4-5 ft of water. Ended up with 55 bream, 3 sacs and 3 catfish. My dad kept 15 bream and the catfish.

Nice day of fishing with your Dad. I wish it would stop raining down here so I could have some fun too.

Glad you caught some fish, I decided not to go this weekend due to the river rising but it looks like they were still biting, good job!

Great catch! Bream are my second favorite freshwater fish. There sure are a lot of dark ones in that spread. Is that normal coloring?

Yea the color is normal. They are alot brighter red and a little lighter on top when the come out of the water. I guess the cooler makes them get dark. Also the water was kind of stained so that might be some if it too.

Awesome catch! I love catching those bluegils! It's a good thing they don't get to be 5 lbs are they would pull you in the water! And for all the PC people, yes I do know they have a very few that get to be that big.
