A friend of mine wanted to go bass fishing today and does not have the crappie bug that I have. So we mostly bass fished but I did manage some vertical jigging and caught two just under 11 inch fish and missed a few more light bites. I did catch a 16.5 inch smally on a top water bait that was jumping like a tarpon so that was fun. We later fished docks and while he through bass lures I shot Bobby Garlands under them only to catch one decent bluegill. Im still trying to figure out how to shoot docks. All in all it was a slow day but it was nice weather and not to crowded. Water temp we're I was at was 84 and the crappie came from 20 feet down out of 23 fow.
