    Default Very bad news on my sevice truck...


    Well my Monday couldn't get any worse, Ford finally looked at my 6.7 F450 this morning, the motor is gone. Had a turbo failure, ceramic ball bearing exploded and grenaded the engine! Said a starting point would be around $19,000 to replace, told him I will scrap it and go a different route. I know the rules on bashing so I will hold my tongue, but a sad state of affairs when you can't get 100,000 miles out of a $60,000 truck!

    That is terrible!!!! That's why i had to get away from a Ford. They are NOT dependable.

    Apparently not it's a 2011. I have another one just like it, I will be replacing the turbo on it and trying to sell it, it has less than 80k on it.

    Lol, no sir.. It's fine just made a call to Dodge, he will find me a 5500 6.7 Cummins by this afternoon, good riddance I say. Anyone need about 13,000lbs worth of scrap steel??

    I have heard ford turbos had a problem with that. I'm surprised they didn't have a recall on them
