Went to my home lake this morning and had an awesome day. I was excited anyway because I had gotten a new panfish magnet kit in the mail yesterday and got the bison colored magnates and the small heads for them, I believe 1/64 oz. I used a small float that I got from them also, the jig head and the bison colored magnet with half a berkley maggot and it was on. I caught about a dozen off of one spot, a hump in about 20 fow that comes up to about 5 fow with lots of grass on it and down the sides to about 8'. The fish were on the edges of the grass in about 6 to 8 fow. I caught a gar there also and it seemed the bream bite really slowed after that. So off I went in search of other holes. I fished a steep bank sloping out to 18 fow of water with grass down to about 8' and caught several more, I lost count. Was using 4 pound test Mr. Crappie hi via and a fenwick eagle light action rod with a moderate slow tip. This was probably the best day I have ever had bream fishing. The biggest was almost 10", I didn't weigh it, and its tail looked a little beat up, but I have heard that bream sometime spawn two or three times a year. The next biggest was about 8". I hope the pictures will post. Thanks for reading.
