Went with my dad and brother. Wasn't planning to go this year but decided to a month ago and today was the only day available this month. Weather was the story. Ended up catching 15 good specks and a lot of throw backs in one spot before getting caught b/w 2 storms that formed together around us. The 24 ft bay boat felt like a bateau out there. 4-6 ft swells turned a nice trip into an unwanted adventure. Finally made it back to the dock around 11:30.

Yep. Specks taste great. They'll go good with the sacs I caught Friday

Nice mess of fish, that weather is nothing to play with!

We caught them quick and were on track to catch a lot of fish until the weather turned on us. That was only the second trip with this guide we haven't limited out and we've been 6-7 times. Going again in November. Shouldn't have to deal with the pop up showers then. I'm just glad we were in his boat. Anything much smaller and not self-bailing might've sunk.

Yep, we were out there around Belle pass when we saw the two storms east and west of us and decided to go in about 10am. Glad we did because the wind really picked up right as we got back to the dock at the camp.
It was a slow weekend, we ended up with about 30 specs and 10 slot reds for 4 people over 2 days. Seems like they were piled up in certain places and only 1 or 2 everywhere else, which is everywhere we stopped.
We were fishing at Casse-Tette when we saw the radar and decided to head in. The wind picked up before we made it to Little Lake. After going thru 4-6 footers for probably 15-20 minutes we finally got behind an island. Skirted it until we could cross Little Lake with the wind. Should've left 10 minutes earlier but we were still catching a few fish.
