    BRM
It has orange scale pattern on back and sides with bright chartreuse underside. I kill them on it up here on dropper rods. I have a couple I can loan you at the Crankfest.

Great catch for dog days. I'm glad you mentioned catching crappie very shallow over deep water. I've been trying to convince most new to cranking folks that they fish too deep. Most only worry about digging mud rather than watching their electronics.

Lol, yep mrdux it boggled me, I'm surprised I wasn't knocking a few out with the trolling motor yesterday. The bait in some areas were almost right on top the surface, do you think this is a survival tactic to confuse or deter low light predators in clear water? I'm not used to seeing the water this clear on this particular lake. Lakes are low and we haven't had really any rain to speak about.

Low light they will be shallower to take advantage of the cool-down in surface temps at night. With all the $$ I have in electronics, I still depend on split screen 2D/GPS 99% of the time. I'll crank the sensitivity up to 50% or so when I move into a creek or bay to check to see if there is a visible thermocline. Fishing below a thermocline level is fishing the dead sea. KY Lake is as clear as I've ever seen it right now and the majority of the baitballs will be 10 feet or less in most areas.

If you see fish on the screen at 15', what depth should the bait run?

Fish or baitballs? I will always run just above fish I've marked and feel for sure they are crappie so in 15 feet of water, I want my bait at 13-14 feet--slightly above them. For baitballs, I always run in the TOP 1/3 to 1/2 of the baitball with my cranks.

Plenty of baitfish up near the dam.

Caught only one fish before the sunrise, of course it was a catfish. Hey, here is old faithful now.

Caught the first keeper shortly after sunrise and it got hectic for a couple of hours running 4 poles by myself. Managed 10 keepers out of maybe 25 caught. Rolled them up at 9:30, I had my self imposed limit by 8:30am. Fishing slowed for me after 9am.

Magic color today was the Arkie marmalade, and pink black stripe did well also. Cranking in 20' - 35' of water fishing 6' - 8' deep early morning and got a little deeper as the morning progressed. Hope everyone has a good weekend, stay cool and go catch a fish!

I do apologize, but they are there. And I am a bit confused are you in the right thread? How are you doing that? You quoted my post and another members post "LowePro" and I don't see where he has posted anything in this thread.
