Thread: Anywhere around Southeast Missouri to buy Yamalube in bulk?

$39 a gallon means it's time for a 4 stroke I always got optimax oil in bulk here in Warsaw. Took my jugs to them and they filled out of a 55 gallon drum. Saved about $10 a gallon. Sure don't miss burning 18-25 gallons a year now that I am in the little 4 stroke boat now.

$20,000/$39=I'll run the old VMAX til she quits... Don't pay $39/gallon anyhow...Use Quicksilver ,even OMC ,whatever is cheapest but still of descent quality....Have a bunch of gallon jugs of OMC in the shed presently I got for $15.00...For each their own....Will eventually enjoy a nice quiet 4-stroke....

I did the same thing until i popped a power head. After 8K for a new powerhead and computer, it's ONLY Yamalube in my motor from now on. It may not make a difference, but for a few dollars difference, I'm not willing to take that chance.

That is completely understandable you feel that way.My VMAX150TLRY is a 2000 model I have owned since 05.Have only used a few gallons of Yamalube in it since then.Most has been Quicksilver and OMC.Years ago cheap 2-cycle oil was difficult to get mixed with fuel.There was a time frame where most 2-cycle oils were only average in mixing capabilities.Along came the major OB manufacturers with their own 2-cycle oil that was able to mix easily with fuel.I am very careful in what I use and have not had any issues yet.Also I do not like to change oil variety and do try to use only one of the two independent of each other.

Using Yamaha's dealer locator I found 3 dealerships--do no know their prices or distance from your house......B&B Boats-Sikeston,573,471,2717 --Current River Marine,Doniphan--573-996-7610 -- Gladish Marine Paragould,AR--870-236-8859--Would suspect all to be high on single gallons--Might try asking about 4 gallon cases or 55 gallon drums..Looked on amazon and the best I found on 4 gallon cases was $137.70/4 gallon case(free shipping)= $34.18...
