    Default Chickamauga Heat

Avoiding the rays of the sun the boat didn't come out of the garage until late afternoon. I've been thinking on chickamauga for a while so tonight is the night. A guy needs a change of scenery every once in a while so I was up for the extra drive. Get the boat in the water and make my way to my fishing location that has done me well more than once. Hadn't even gotten a rod out yet when it started to rain. Really? You kidding me? No no kidding. Tucked into a nearby slip and watched youtube videos on my phone for the next little while until it stopped. Such a waste of valuable fishing time. Got down to fishing with my favorite night time glow bait. Bumping and dragging the bottom in 20ft of water did the trick. Ended up catching 47 crappie and a couple of bass before calling it quits. Most of the crappie were in the eleven to twelve inch range with a few nicer kicker fish thrown in. Took a few pics for evidence then turned them all loose.

Very nice trip, Gene. Just think, those 11-12 inch fish are going to be 14-15 inches next year. Bonanza.
