Default Chickamauga Lake crappie report 7/06/2017

Hippy Dave Ohms accompanied me on a crappie trip this morning. He forgot his rain suit and I did too, so we both got just a little bit damp in the 2 plus hours of intermittent rain showers that we had. Grin. That didn't bother the crappie at all.
We caught and released 20 keepers and 1 short crappie along with 3 LM trashy green fish. Hippy had his favorite Bass Assassin Pro Tiny 2" Limetreuse Glow on a 1/16 oz jig head and I experimented with color changes until just before we quit fishing. Then I put the hot lure on and helped Hippy out. Grin.
We started off on a community vertical structure to catch a few fish. Then on to a delta drop off to catch a few fish along with the bass. All fish released today.
Water temp was 78.9 and 47,000 CFS was the water flow at 6:00 AM. We didn't catch any shallow fish.

Good Job !! Ask Hippie Dave if he's ever lost any of those Limetreuse Glo up on Watts Bar. I found one a couple of years back, and used it to catch several Slab Blacknose up in the cove where Blue Springs Marina is located. Actually, I think I hooked a broken line and the jig was on the end of it ...
Didn't know the brand/color back then, but if that's it in the mouth of that Black Crappie in the last picture, then I may have to get me some !!

When you are catching fish, you just don't notice the rain!
