This is my first post. Like most I've been in the shadows for a long long time. Thanks to this site I've basically self thought myself how to tie what I am wanting to tie. With that said I've never tied a trout fly but have seen 10,000 hours of YouTube videos trying to learn. To the point I am looking for jig tiers in the West TN area. I live in Paris and I'm from Union City. Might be cool to meet up or chat ideas. Happy fishing fellers.

Welcome to the site and board and out of the shadows, lol! Enjoy your self!
As for flies lies I say take one of my many links to FAOL and they don't have the YouTube videos, but they have some of the best lesson out there! Just look op fly tying and then start at the beginner level and go through their lessons until you see a fly you want to tie and then just follow their pictures and verbage! Look in the sticky post for links.

Here is a couple. One I don't if it is practical but with the 4th of July tomorrow seems appropriate.

Welcome from Bartlett, TN, I am tying now. I do all my Crappie and Bream jigs and flies.
Welcome from Central Florida. Those are all good ties, and that Chartreuse one will do just fine. Nice work, and it only gets better.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
That red, white and blue one might be your Independence Day Jig!! Nice ties
