    Default Morgan's Creek this Friday

Well I FINALLY got some free time to go fishing, so I'm thinking about putting in at Morgan's Creek Friday morning. Gonna try pushing/pulling cranks. May hit a few stake beds single poling. Anyone been that know about what depth they may be? I'm guessing 10-15 feet range. If I don't have much luck may run to Cuba Landing or Hog Creek. I don't get on the river to fish on weekends until after Labor Day, so hoping the lake lice are still at work Friday. If anybody is out that way and see a bass tracker with a guy wearing a large brimmed tomato picking hat stop and say hi.

Well I tried my hand at pushing cranks for the first time yesterday. Put in at Morgan about 8:30. Fished water 8-12' deep. Got no fish deeper than 8' although I saw more fish in 10-12'. Caught 3 shorts, 1 cat, 1 bass, and one drum in 6-8'. The crappie all came off of a silver shallow running stick bait about 4" long.

Good report. I haven't fished Morgan in a while. Time on the water will help your catch. I run 6 to 8 rods with 2-6, 2-10, 2-14 and some time 2 six foot dropper rods. I run either bandits, bomber 6a's or c-255 I paint my self. Most of the time my baits are 6-8 foot down.
