Does anyone use the USA braid that Walmart sells. I've never tried it but is on sale for a good price right now.

Been using the Vicious Hiviz Yellow 10lb mono with good success. I'm also using the Shakespeare ATS15LC with no issues.

if you use braid get at least 4-5 colors. Makes picking knots out a bunch easier. and you will get them. I like a mix of yellow, orange, lime green and pink. Then spool up a couple with mono and a couple with depth counter. sounds like a member of the rainbow coalition.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

10# mono works great, But I use 40/10# braid- that works also. The charts are set up with 10# mono.

I've ran 12 pound Trilene Big Game Solar Collector green mono for 5 years or so. I rarely worry about maximum depth but worry constantly about the crap that jumps out and grabs cranks on the ledges on KY and Barkley Lakes. I will save 2x the number of cranks I would running 10 pound mono. I hate braid for cranks due to the time it takes to untangle the rat's nests that clients tend to have happen.
