    i hate to sound dumb but does that typically mean fishing is going to be bad

    Not necessarily .... BUT, it does mean there'll be lots of logs & limbs floating around, and the water will likely be dingy to dirty (maybe even muddy up on the river end). When they start pulling it @ ~1ft/day, to get it back to pool ... THEN the fishing can get tough. That usually sends 'em away from the banks and down deep. That much water, that quick .... then the current created by them pulling it ... will change the water temps & the thermocline.

    Went back today the lake is a mess water all the way up the ramp. Tree limbs floating everywhere and I still saw people skiing lol. Fishing was slow and I only caught 9 fish 2 of which were keepers but since only 2 I let them go also it was still a great day
