    Default Lake Martin

Going down there for a week to spend time with my mom and brothers. Taking my boat down and would love to put them on some night time crappie. When I was a kid, we use to tie up to the river bridge on 280 and put lights out Figured that would be one way to do it. Going to also be looking for docks with lights on them. Will be using minnows....anything else I should look for??

Thanks in advance for any info.

Bama's is they man to ask about Martin shoot him a pm. I was there last year around this time and they wouldn't bite on the dock lights. I did catch some on docks one evening. Also caught a lot of bass on docks in 12fow.

Tuff sleding this time of year on Martin. Look for deep lights and work your bait all the way to bottom.

That's what I was figuring. How about the catfishing? Are they still shallow or have the eased off into the depths...

Got into Alex city yesterday at 1pm, was on the water at 6. Went to the city ramp and put in. Water looks like yoo-hoo. Tried fishing the water inlet before the river bridge. Not a bite. Went over to the main point going into sturdivant and my brother caught 3...9 1/2" and 10 1/2 incher. The other one was way too small to even try to measure. I didn't get a biteLake Martin
