Hello everyone, I am thinking about trying a night trip to Tillery Saturday night. Hopefully the crowd will be pretty slim, planning on dropping the lights and maybe throwing a cat rod or two out.
Fishing is a science, study, experiment, fail, and succeed...then start over tomorrow. Yeah I'm a science guy.

i saw a boat out this morning messing around, i put the binos on them but didnt see anything brought in, they were in a crappie hole but at the wrong time of year, as for the night trip should be good water is clearing up, there fairly deep 16-20' and in small scattered schools thermocline is starting to set in as well around 22'
Well maybe my little night time fishing hole will hold a few, I have found a few there before, just by happenstance, but got ran off the water by a horrible thunder storm, Worst boat ride I have ever been on. But we will see what the weekend weather holds, and maybe the crowd wont be too bad at night on Saturday.

Matt, you may want to rethink Sat. Everyone is doing fireworks Sat. night for the 4th. All boats have to be away from the docks at Woodrun by 6 and stay out until 10 since they will be shooting fireworks from the dock. It will be crazy until after probably 11 or so.
Well might try to change it to Sunday then, I am off work Monday and Tuesday, so that wouldn't be too bad.

Fireworks on Norwood end one of those nights.
Well we fished our go to cove for a couple of hours Sunday night, struck out, except a couple white perch. Water was very stirred up, didn't even get a good bait ring going. Pulled up the lights at 10pm and put out the cut perch for cats. No luck there either. Boat and jet ski traffic was horrible. Had one of those 16ft or so wake boats come within 50ft of us, bow up going 10mph or something while I was throwing the net. The wake pulled the back corner of my 18ft xpress under a good 8 inches and I had to use the bilge pump to run it back out. They should really look at doing something about those things.

Yep, been crazy on tillery this past 4 or 5 days. Wife wanted to go out catfishing yesterday afternoon. I just laughed. We may try a little nightstalk Friday night if things calm down a bit. Probably hit 24-27 bridge to start.
