Default Newly Posted Sign at Jonathan Creek Boat Ramp

Thank you goes out to Mr. Paul Rister for getting this done. The sign states that there is no swimming or fishing allowed on either the ramp or dock. This will help eliminate any confusion on the part of many, and allow the dock to used for its intended purpose. We just hope that the new sign will not be destroyed by the local mentally challenged.
Also, Marshall County hasn't had a warden for months but will have BJ Morris out on patrol after he finishes his training. This will be a welcomed addition that should not run short of things to do!!

Again, thank you Paul for listening to the concerns of the sportsman, and seeing them thru to the end.

I looked for the sign Thursday, and never saw the new sign. Called Paul and left a message, and he returned it yesterday evening. He said they placed a 2' × 2' sign in the guard rail framework since there was no other post available and the rip rap rock everywhere.
If someone is up that way and checks the sign, please let Paul know immediately. Or you can get with me or some others here on the site probably have Paul's number.
I'm afraid that the sign has already disappeared...

Brian, the Marshall County Fiscal Court has put signage up with the same message for a couple of years and it always walks off as soon as it is put up. I'll try to pull thru there in the morning.

I'd like to see one of those signs at EVERY boat ramp.

    Default Is it a law?

Yeah, I've had them give me a bad look when I tell them to move the stuff on the dock because that's where we're going to dock and one of us need the space to step. I've never told them It's not for fishing. So far they move or leave, which is good.

It's time for the "camera's" up there at that ramp to be focused on these areas and catch these low life's.

Signs are good but unfortunately not enough enforcement.

We need more piers for fishing. There is a new pier at Big Bear Ramp by the playground. It's beautiful and people use it.
