Thread: Shoot the bull thread

Coffee shop for breakfast.....let the new members in on c.c....then off to my buddys shop to do some welding.
Mowed three acres yesterday and trimmed a bunch of bushes and trees ....then helped my neighbor fix his lawnmower.

You roll very well my friend, I'm impressed.

Did pulled pork last weekend. For you folks just starting to learn how to smoke, pork is the easiest. Master that before moving on to a brisket. Anyway, Ann is in the house making "hoe" cakes, whatever that is. She says it's like a pancake made with cornmeal. I says "use it like a tortilla - roll it up and call it good?" No, she says. Put the pulled pork on the "hoe" cake and eat it as is. She's digging into her roots in Kentucky, folks up there eat strange things. Sounds interesting.

One thing I won't touch again is their "country ham and black-eyed gravy". Which is basically a slice of ham with about two pounds of salt on it, topped with coffee.

She tolerates my briskets and chicken fried steaks, so I guess I tolerate a "hoe" cake.
