Met Oldnewbie (Steve) this morning to try to get his new Ranger slimmed with some crappie slime. We did it officially but with less than favorable results.
The weather was threatening to release some thunderstorms, and it did. Tried a favorite location on Eagle Mountain that disappointed today, maybe due
to the threatening weather, maybe not. The bite was not there as it has been on previous trips. Steve caught one crappie and one gill, but we didn't
slime the live well. The size was not right for breaking in a live well on a Ranger. Looking forward to another chance to do it right in the coming months.
A couple pics of Steve and his fish. Please don't get eye strain trying to see the fish...........they are there.

Nice meeting you Steve and thanks for the opportunity to get out and fish in the rain for a change. Next trip will be drier for sure.
