    Default Terrova Shaft Support ?

I have a 60" shaft . I wanted to install a Ram mount shaft support , but they don't make one long enough for my application. Bottom of my shaft is 13" off deck. Their longest mount is roughly 11". I have looked at the nylon strap style ,( Rod Saver , Boat Buckle) but it only holds it down . No support from bottom. Any ideas? Anybody got a tall one they like ?

Do you have a deck cleat in this area of your terrrova ? I would think if you do some of the people on this board could make you a bracket for a ram mount to bolt to.

Scott at Hitek could make you a custom support and his base wouldn't stick up very far to be in the way ...

Anybody using the Rod Saver nylon strap style trolling motor support? If so what are your thoughts on it? I would like to have something that supports motor from the bottom also , but this may be my only option right now.

I used a piece of 2 in PVC pipe, cut the T part in half and installed the T on end of pipe for support. The screwed a round aluminum slug with hole drilled in center on deck. I ran a rod saver strap under the slug, centered it and screwed it down. Tilt motor back, insert pipe, strap down and solid as a rock.

Old guy is probably fishing . He is the smartest guy I know in Marshall County. I would like to somehow slot the slug/base so nylon strap can be removed from deck while motor is deployed. I can't imagine getting a crankbait tangled in it . It wouldn't be pretty.
