    Default The search is over

I found what I wanted today. Many have offered input on the other thread, and I want to thank you all. Many rods, such as the air stream , are just about impossible to find on a sellers rack. Others didn't have spinning guides, but everything else was spot on. And let's not forget that I'm cheap. I'll spend money when I need to but just have a problem laying down a hundred or more for one rod. I took a little sidetrack at work today to a different Academy store and found paydirt. Last week I had found an All Star rod that was 6', so a little shorter that I was after. This store had a better selection of those same rods, and the cherry was a 1 piece, 7 foot light fast action, for $50. But I had a problem, I was in the work truck and didn't have the room to be sure to get it home without it getting broken. Took some info on it from the salesman and walked around a little and went back to put the ball in his court. I told him that I wanted one of these rods in the Lake Mary store that was closer to where I work so I could buy it there. He started talking about the "More Options" policy where I could pay for it here and now, and they would send it to my door for free. He had to tell me twice. So I bit the bullet and paid for it, and expect it to be waiting on my door one day very soon. Do I have to tell you what I'll be doing Saturday morning? I'll keep you posted.........Skeet.
