If you're on a pc move the curser to his avatar and left click. A menu window will pop open.

Look up at upper right of screen....click on notifications...then click on inbox....It will show your messages there and you can make quick replys there....and to send a new message on left side of inbox page click on send new message. You can also go to upper left of your screen and under the Forum buttom is a button to click on that says Private Messages...click on it it will take you to the message page...there will be a menu on the left side of that page with different options....just click on what you want to do. Make sure you spell the user name right.
