Default Hard Day on Ole Stumpy

Put in at 9:45. Piddled around for an hour then dropped three condos close to some known holding spots in 7.5 ft. water. Fished from 11:00 to 5:30, but had to work on trolling motor for 45 minutes. finally figured out my connection with my battery was bad. Caught 4 solid crappie (12/13) and 1 good eater bass. gave it up when it was probably the best time of the day to fish to ease back to the Rock and feed my dogs.. the wifey is out of town

Glad you got out and that the trolling motor issues were not to bad.

thanks, finally looked at my crimps between the trolling motor wires and the wires ti the battery. one had come out of the crimped.. rigged it enough so i could fish. just got it fixed a few minutes ago with a new crimp and some black electrical tape. snuck back to where i had dropped the condos after about 2 hrs. and caught the biggest of the day soon as my jig sunk about 4 ft.

I have found those cheap crimping tools for the splices do not make good connections !!!! One way to solve that problem is to use Vice Grips and clamp again on an angle on the splice -- It will never pull out ...

i must have read your mind. i tried to crimp it with the small crimper made for light crimping but couldn't get it to hardly bend. finally tightened it up with the ole vice grips. i bet that baby doesn't come lose at the crimp again
