Taylorsville 5/28 night trip
I had not had the chance to get out fishing in a little over 2 weeks. I was starting to have fishing withdraw. With it being a holiday weekend I knew that a trip to the lake in the day was out. So I loaded up my lights and hit the ramp at 8:00 pm. I still had to set for 30 minutes to get the boat in the water. I watched a guy pull up to the ramp in his boat and have his kid jump out to hold the boat while he when to get the truck and block a lane on the ramp for 15 minutes with 4 of us in line. Oh well you can't fix dumb.
The water had a little cooler to it and was 75 degrees and was just a little over summer pool. I ran to the first spot did a little scanning and did not see much so off to spot 2. I like what I saw so I anchored. I must to have set up right on top over a wad of short fish before I could get all the rods out we had put 10 fish in the boat. We ran though 1/2 lb in less than 4 hours not many big fish but did pick up a enough to make some fish tacos. Still a very enjoyable setting there looking at stars and pulling crappies out of the water.
