Any Side image unit And the biggest screen one that you can afford as this will be very very important as to seeing the biggest and best picture.

My most recent experiences would lead me to suggest HB or Garmin (which I currently have). Both are easy to navigate. My personal usage of anything Lowrance is long time ago, so I cannot contribute anything there. Raymarine, again I do not know, but MonteSS and some others put up some very nice pics. Good luck with your search.

I got the new helix 9 si a couple months ago and I really like it.I' m no electronics expert by any means and I find it easy to use.The stuff you can see and find on these new units with the si and di is amazing,I wish I would have upgraded to one like this years ago.

Side imaging is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!! You will become a brim bed killer. I have had several hummingbirds and two lowrance units. The early hummingbird models to me were easier to use. I may have become more educated or Lowrance is making them more intuitive but I like my Lowrance Elite Touch 9" with total scan a lot. Some brands are limited as to the third party mapping chips that they will run. If you have a map chip preference this may determine what brand of electronics you chose. Competition has resulted in all the players putting out some very nice units.
