Cut and paste the below into google maps. I don't think you can bank fish Lily Pond too easily. You might try, but I have never seen anyone actually fish the pond from the bank. There is the big ditch or creek that goes into the pond that people fish from the bank. I am sure when Ditch sees your questions he will let you know if he knows how to bank fish it. Flat bottoms and Kayaks are the best way to fish it from what I have seen.

Cains slough is hard to fish from the bank you would have to walk through the woods to get to it,you can fish the small creek we call snake creek, but my best advice would be to fish the river

Sorry for the delayed response, I was traveling yesterday. You might get a few from the bank where the creek connects like others said, but Lilly is primarily a flat bottom/kayak area. The secret to catching fish there is covering lots of water. I float jugs for catfish or spider rig for Crappie.

Always enjoy your posts and keep thinking I need to get a kayak. I am curious as to whether you used the kayak this trip. Trying to reconcile in my mind how you managed that many coolers???

    SeaRay,

I used my Native Ultimate 12 kayak with one cooler behind my seat and an egg crate in front between my feet. I returned to my vehicle twice to transferred fish into larger coolers in the truck (with ice on top) before finally returning the final time to leave for the day. Your right though, the preferred way would be a 12 or 14 foot flat bottom, three or four dozen jugs and a couple of 128 quart coolers pushed around by a trolling motor. I had around 60 pounds of catfish fillets that I gave to a friend yesterday, she was on the way to spend Memorial Day weekend with family. Her parents still love to eat fish, but find it difficult to get on the water anymore.
Thanks SeaRay thanked you for this post

I started to take some photos, but realized I had to many fish and it would turn into a slimy mess. Here's a couple before I started.
