Thread: Chickamauga Lake crappie report 5/23/2017

My Brother in law and nephew came down from Crossville area to crappie fish with me again this morning. We got an early start and had the first limit by 6:52. The second limit was completed by 9:00 and the third limit by 10:30 and we stopped. We also caught 2 spotted bass, a couple of bluegills, and 1 Rock Bass.

We caught our fish on vertical structure and also on docks. Docks were shallow and the vertical structure fish were deep. We caught fish on Bass Assassin Limetreuse Glow, Bobby Garland Green Thunder and Bluegrass. 2" Bluegrass Crappie dappers and we mostly fished with 1/16 and 3/32 oz jigs deep and 1/24 oz under the docks. The fish were very aggressive under the docks. Not bad on the deep bite either. Grin.

Water temp was 71.2-71.9 depending on area that we fished. TVA was running 27,000 CFS the hours that we fished. It is now nap time. ZZZZZ.
